Audition tips for the prospective students:

Posture and bow holding should reflect an approach to the instrument that will allow consistent technical progress and result in accurate intonation

Playing a solo that is too difficult will generally lower an audition score
-
Solos should be performed without accompaniment
-
Sight reading will be selected by the judge(s) at the audition

ABOUT TVYOC
The mission of the Tri Valley Youth Orchestra and Choir is to provide the highest quality performing arts education and community service opportunity to students of all ages and backgrounds. Our programs are devised to inspire young musicians to achieve artistic excellence, support emotional growth, and instill an appreciation for the community through charitable events.
Tri Valley Youth Orchestra and Choir is operated exclusively by volunteers for the purpose of providing music education to the youth. At the heart of our organization is community outreach, where students will perform for the elderly and public servants, as well as benefit concerts for humanitarian organizations such as Kids Against Hunger. Qualifying students will be eligible for President’s Volunteer Service Award and TVYOC scholarship program.
About KPA
Founded in 2002, is a nonprofit organization and founder of Tri Valley Youth Orchestra and Choir.
The organization provides a variety of educational information to help Korean students in Northern California develop a local education system.
The group also provides opportunities to actively support students' academic and out-of-school volunteer work, develop programs and participate actively in the community.
